Refund and Return Policy

(For Online Courses and Diploma Programs — The College of International Holistic Studies, Milton)

1. Refund Method
Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction. Before a refund is processed, all course materials must be returned to the College of International Holistic Studies (C.I.H.S. Milton) along with a written notice of withdrawal

2. Eligibility for Refunds (Prepaid Courses in Diploma Programs)
Refunds will only be issued if all of the following conditions are met
– All materials are returned unused and unopened within 30 days of payment.
– The student has not received access permission to the course or program.
– The student has not logged in to either the Virtual Classroom or the Wiley Plus Classroom.

3. Refund Calculation
The refundable amount is based on total tuition fees paid, minus a non-refundable registration fee of $100.
If full tuition has not yet been paid, C.I.H.S. Milton will not issue a refund larger than the amount collected to date

Refund Timeframes and Conditions
a) Before Classes Begin
If C.I.H.S. Milton receives written or email notice of withdrawal at least 2–3 business days before classroom access is granted and before classes begin, only the $100 registration fee will be retained

b) Within the First 7 Days
If the notice of withdrawal is received by C.I.H.S. Milton within 7 calendar days after Virtual Classroom or Wiley Plus access has been granted, and classes have started (with at least one login recorded), the school will retain 50% of the total tuition fees

c) After the 7th Day
If written notice of withdrawal is received, or the student is dismissed, after the 7th calendar day from the program’s start date, no refund will be provided. C.I.H.S. Milton will retain 100% of the total tuition fees

4. Special Situations and Exceptions
a) Course Cancellations
If a course is cancelled or postponed by C.I.H.S. Milton, students will receive a full refund of tuition and registration fees, unless they opt to apply these funds to another available course.

b) Illness or Emergencies
Students dealing with verified medical emergencies or serious illness may receive a course extension. They are not eligible for any refunds.

c) Dismissal by the College
If a student is dismissed due to academic dishonesty, misconduct, or violation of the student agreement, no refund will be issued after the 7th calendar day.

d) Digital Materials
Any digital materials (including downloadable PDFs, videos, or online access content) are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

5. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will be issued within 30 business days from the date of approval.

Governing Law
This policy is governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
